My Background

Ken Laymon NMT, PAS

A member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) (since 2001)

National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) (since 2001)

Certified Personal Trainer from the Paul Chek Institute as a exercise Coach (in 2005)

Certified as a Postural Alignment Specialist (PAS) from Egoscue University (since 2007) and the Advanced class (in 2008)

I have been in practice as a Licensed  Massage Therapist since 2000.  The massage school I went to was the Western Institute of Neuromuscular (WIN) Therapy, one of their focus points was sports injuries. I graduated with 1000 hours.

I think there is a need to keep taking continuing education to stay up to date with new techniques and philosophies on massage. (You can view a list of the classes I have taken at the bottom of the page).

I am Nationally Certified (NCTMB) National Certification in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and a member of the (AMTA) American Massage Therapy Association.

To better understand the injuries and mechanics of weight training I became certified as a personal trainer through Paul Chek Institute, I also took several classes at Irvine Valley College through their Fitness Specialist program.

I have found that when you have bad posture or your posture is out of alignment, it plays havoc on your body and will cause you discomfort or pain, so I went to Egoscue University and became a (PAS) Postural Alignment Specialist.

I take all that information and the techniques I have learned, to create a massage session that will be beneficial to you.
